  PHYSICAL EDUCATION KNOWLEDGE PHYSICAL SKILLS FITNESS HEALTH KNOWLEDGE HEALTH SKILLS
PK-K-1 Identify selected body parts, skills, and movements. Perform basic locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative skills. Sustain moderate to vigorous physical activity for short periods of time. Identify safe and health-enhancing behaviors. Identify and practice ways to make healthy choices and avoid threatening situations.
2-3 Identify components of motor patterns and fundamental motor skills. Perform locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative skills in combination. Engage in sustained physical activity that causes an increased heart rate and heavy breathing. Connect knowledge of health practices to prevention and consequences. Practice strategies to improve or maintain health.
4-5 Follow rules, procedures, and appropriate behaviors for selected physical activities. Perform locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative skills in organized activities. Engage in appropriate activities that result in development of cardio-vascular endurance and muscular strength. Examine health behaviors, prevention, and consequences. Demonstrate the ability to practice health-enhancing behaviors that reduce health risks.
6-7-8 Explain rules and regulations, and demonstrate appropriate behavior in a variety of physical activities. Perform the skills necessary to participate in a variety (team, dual, and individual) of physical activities. Describe the components of physical fitness and their impacts on personal health and fitness levels. Explain the concepts related to health promotion, disease prevention, and accident prevention. Formulate decisions about health related issues which affect personal health.
9-10-11 Acquire the knowledge necessary to perform a variety of physical activities. Perform a variety (team, dual, and individual) of physical activities. Assess personal fitness and design a personal fitness plan. Analyze concepts related to health promotion and disease prevention. Analyze own health-enhancing behaviors that reduce health risks.
