 A Letter From the Superintendent
Dear Friends of Mapleton Public Schools:
Though Mapleton Public Schools is notable for the 50-plus years of rich heritage behind it, the district also has become recognized as one of the most forward-thinking educational organizations in the United States. This recognition has come as we have made great strides to ignite in our students a spark of excitement for learning and "light the fire of our imaginations."
A few years ago, we launched Mapleton's Reinvention Campaign, a comprehensive plan to provide our nearly 6,000 students with innovative and exciting choices for learning that are small by design. The new schools acknowledge the need to create learning environments that are personalized and engage parents and students in choosing their future. The Reinvention was designed with one thing in mind: the ultimate success of each and every one of our students.
We started in 2004 with a restructuring of our district's high schools. Now, we are offering a full menu of learning options for all grade levels, from pre-kindergarten through senior year.
As described on our district web site, each of these options offers our students the tools and incentives to achieve their dreams. It is a true vision for the future!
Respectfully,
Charlotte Ciancio
