The Mapleton Board of Education approved calendars for the next two school years last Tuesday night.
The vote came after central administration recommended calendar option "A" as the calendar of choice among various parent and employee groups.
District staff worked over several months to develop two options and consult with several groups about which one might work better.
"Calendar A emerged by consensus," said Sam Molinaro, who headed the calendar committee.
The approval includes calendars for the next two
school years. The 2002-2003 calendar will be available on the district website
in early March.
