Not all students are suited to high school -- some students get behind, drop out or struggle balancing life's other responsibilities with school. Other students want to earn their high school diploma as quickly as possible. The GED is designed for all these students.
Mapleton Public Schools prepares students to take the GED exam through a GED pre-test and study sessions using study guides and computer-aided instruction. Students must be 17 to take the final GED test and within two months of their 17th birthday to begin GED study sessions.
GED study sessions are held at Alternative #1 High School, 1200 E. 78th Ave., on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The first study session is Tuesday, September 17, 2002. There is a $50 study session fee and a $60 test fee for students 21 and over.
Please call Ms. White at (303) 853-1660 for enrollment information. It's never too late to earn your high school diploma!
