Two Skyview H.S. seniors named Daniel's Scholars

Two members of Skyview High School's Class of 2002 will be attending the Colorado School of Mines, with the tab picked up by the Daniel's Fund.

Loren Large and Michael Moore are the first students from Skyview to be awarded the Daniel's Fund scholarships, established by the foundation of the late cable entrepreneur Bill Daniels. Large and Moore participated in the Daniels College Prep Program in their junior and senior year.

The Daniels College Prep Program provides college preparation assistance to high-potential students with financial need who have a strong desire to attend college. The program helps students to prepare for the ACT and SAT, research and apply to college, find financial aid and scholarship support, and select a college to attend. While the goal of the program is to help all participants enter college, approximately one-third of the participants are selected to receive college scholarship from the Daniels Fund.
