Skyview High School student awarded CU Parents Association scholarship

Gabriel Meraz, a senior honors student at Skyview, was awarded the CU Leadership, Excellence, Achievement and Diversity scholarship by the Parents Association. The $10,000 scholarship was presented to Gabriel at a July 18 banquet.

Gabriel has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout both middle school and high school and is ranked number one in his class. He is also Head Boy and a member of the National Honor Society.

He has been a student in the CU-Boulder Pre-Collegiate Development Program and plans to major in aerospace and astronautical engineering at CU. His goal is to be an astronaut.
