"Bringing Academics to Life"
Students at Explore Elementary learn that the world is our classroom. Challenging units of study called investigations bring learning to life at this small school. Students learn and practice valuable literacy and math skills through the in-depth study of real world topics. Students develop a sense of pride and accomplishment as they master rigorous learning targets by completing high quality projects. Our goal is to foster critical thinking, application of knowledge, and a passion for learning. In a nurturing and disciplined environment, students become leaders in their life, class, school, and world.
Explore Elementary is characterized by:
- Active learning approach characterized as "gifted and talented learning for all students."
- Culture of high expectations and commitment to high quality work. Students therefore write, edit, revise and then re-write papers until they are ready for final publication.
- Integrated projects that help students understand, retain, and apply high levels of knowledge.
