This academically-focused school is inspired by the International Baccalaureate (IB) School network. York International embraces the philosophy of IB and provides students the opportunity to be more productive learners, responsible, self-directed individuals, competent communicators, complex thinkers and contributing citizens.
York International is characterized by:

The Primary Years Program (K - 5th grades) - In April 2010 York was authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Program. The Primary Years Program focuses on the development of the whole child in the classroom and in the world outside.

6th-12th grades - York's program provides a framework of academic challenge and life skills, achieved through embracing and transcending traditional school subjects.
* York International is currently exploring the IB Middle Years Program (6th-10th grades) and the IB Diploma Program (11th-12th grades).
