News from the District
Academy High School is one of five Mapleton schools participating in the MEET (Mapleton Educator Empowerment Teams) program, which launched last fall to improve student achievement and reduce teacher burnout. At Academy, MEET takes the form of an accelerated Humanities course that blends geography and English for ninth graders. With two teachers leading the class, students explore literature and global issues together, strengthening critical thinking and easing the transition into high school. While each MEET program varies by grade level and school, all share the same core goal—enhancing education through collaboration.
