Dr. Janice Phelps

Dr. Janice Phelps began her career in education over 30 years ago when she graduated from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. 

She moved to California shortly after graduation and became a teacher and an administrator in Los Angeles Unified School District while she pursued her masters and doctoral degrees.  Dr. Phelps was a professor at Pepperdine University in their Graduate School of Education and Psychology program. In 2005 Dr. Phelps and her family moved to Colorado. She was a professor at the University of Northern Colorado Center for Urban Education teaching classes on reading and writing methods to teachers. Dr. Janice Phelps joined the Mapleton family in 2013 and has been a Director at Clayton Partnership School for the past five years. She continues to teach graduate level administrative classes at Regis University in the evenings. One of her favorite quotes continues to be “Find a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life!”  Dr. Phelps obviously LOVES what she does at Clayton Partnership School!

Ms. Lindsey Keese

Growing up in Conifer, Colorado, Lindsey knew from a young age she wanted to be an educator. After studying and playing softball at Bethany College in West Virginia, Ms. Keese returned to Colorado and began her teaching career in Mapleton at York Middle School in 2005. After eight years of coaching softball and teaching Special Education at York International, Ms. Keese moved into Administration as an Assistant Director at Meadow Community School. During her time as an administrator, Ms. Keese has helped oversee the implementations of PBIS structures, Multi-Tiered layers of support for students both academically and behaviorally and assisted in overseeing teacher development at Meadow Community School. 

As she transitions to Clayton Partnership she is excited to continue to build strong academics and relationships within the community.

Mr. Jim Lefebvre

Mr. Lefebvre moved to Colorado after growing up in northern Minnesota and surviving 18 years of bitter winters followed by four very hot years at Arizona State. He moved to Colorado opting for a place that was beautiful with a much more hospitable climate. He has been an educator for over twenty years, working as a librarian, classroom teacher at the elementary, middle and high school levels, wrestling coach, and administrator. He started his teaching career at Bertha Heid in Mapleton in 1993 and he could not be happier to return as the admin intern at Clayton. He has a passion for reading and would love to talk to all students about their favorite books! He has three amazing kids and has been married for 26 years. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys bow hunting, climbing, fly fishing and running.
