Scope of Work

  • Explore Elementary will relocate to a new building at 104th Avenue and York Street. The building is designed to reflect the heritage of Colorado farming and ranching in the area. To accommodate the growth of our district, the new Explore will serve preschool through eighth grade students.

    • Designs are being finalized for interpretive signage surrounding the exterior of the school. They will allow students and visitors to learn about the farmlands, native wildlife, plant identification, and more! 
    • Explore's farmland theme will be carried into the gym with decorative walls showcasing a mountain range and prairie. 
    • Site grading is mostly complete. Seeding and irrigation work is in the process to reestablish vegetation where necessary. 
    • The roof is more than halfway complete. Steel erection is complete and the drywall is underway in parts of the interior.

    • Crews continue to work on roof installation, which is now over 50% complete. 
    • Interior framing continues, making hallways and classrooms visible in certain areas. 
    • Crews have turned their attention to window flashing to prepare for installation.
    • Installation of the sprinkler system has begun.
