Scope of Work

  • Explore Elementary will relocate to a new building at 104th Avenue and York Street. The building is designed to reflect the heritage of Colorado farming and ranching in the area. To accommodate the growth of our district, the new Explore will serve preschool through eighth grade students.

  • UPDATE – Sept. 18, 2019

    • Paint on the north side of the building is now complete. Crews will begin to complete the rest of the exterior in the next few weeks.
    • Windows and siding are almost all complete.
    • The playground and exterior sidewalks remain ongoing.
    • Inside, framing remains ongoing as well as the drywall installation.
    • Interior masonry in the gym is tracking for Mid-October.
      Next, crews will begin to install landscaping to be ahead of the rush spring brings.

  • UPDATE – Sept. 11, 2019

    • Designs for the monument entry sign are being finalized as well as signage for the playground area.
    • Crews tested the first coat of red paint that will go on the exterior walls.
    • Structural framing continues inside the building, with some areas already starting drywall.
    • Seeding and irrigation work is in progress to reestablish vegetation where necessary.
    • The building’s roof is more than halfway complete and final materials are scheduled for delivery soon.
