What is the PYP?
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning, in which teachers' and students' questions direct the learning. The focus is on the acquisition of essential knowledge, concepts, skills and attitudes, and incorporating meaningful and relevant action into our learning. It is defined by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance and is explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subject areas. The PYP is a curriculum framework designed for students 3-12 years of age. Students can begin the PYP at Global Primary Academy then continue the Programme seamlessly at GIA.
