UPDATE – Feb. 2, 2021
Posted by Andy Leapley on 2/2/2021- On the Broadway Campus, the Mapleton Arts Center (MAC) is continuing progress inside! With most of the drywall installed, crews are working on interior finishes, including paint and tiling.
- At this stage, the ticket booth, concession stand, and theatre stage are more visible than ever!
- On the second floor, Kalwall translucent wall panels are installed, bringing natural lighting to the orchestra and band classrooms.
- In the next few weeks, crews will continue their progress with interior finishes and the floors.

UPDATE – December 16, 2020
Posted by Andy Leapley on 12/16/2020- Exterior finishes on the Mapleton Arts Center (the MAC) provide a beautiful splash of color and a glimpse into the future look of the district’s new Performing Arts hub!
- After insulating the exterior, crews are now adding burnt orange and gray tiles outside the building, complementing the eye-catching glass wall.
- Near the campus-facing entry, crews are prepping for the first concrete pour of the outdoor performance stage once the weather permits.
- Inside the building, drywall is complete in select classrooms, allowing for paint in the choir, dance, orchestra, and Black Box rooms.
- In the next few months, crews will begin to add Kalwall translucent wall panels to the second-floor rooms, the same unique material found at the Global Intermediate Academy library.
- In the 900-seat auditorium, progress to the upper balcony and control room drywall will soon be visible, as well as acoustic finishes throughout the interior spaces.
- The building is set to open in the fall of 2021 and will serve all Mapleton students and our community.

UPDATE – March 5, 2020
Posted by Andy Leapley on 3/5/2020- At the Mapleton Arts Center (MAC), crews are finished with the underground electrical work and will wrap up plumbing by the end of the month.
- The large, two-story dirt pile is now down to mere feet and almost completely removed from the site.
- Crews will soon begin pouring the concrete slab for the foundation and the building is expected to go vertical at the beginning of April!
- The MAC will serve students district-wide and is scheduled to be open in 2021.
