    Why IB?

York International serves students through the implementation of an International Baccalaureate Program. An emphasis on the InternationalBaccalaureate principles will provide students the opportunity to be more productive learners, who are responsible, self-directed, competent communicators, complex thinkers and contributing citizens. We are very proud of our challenging academic curriculum and rich cultural traditions.

    Face masks

    • Employees:  All Mapleton employees are required to either be fully vaccinated or wear a face covering when indoors.  At this time, we are not requiring proof of vaccination but may consider doing so once the vaccine is fully authorized by the FDA.
    • Students (all ages): For students not yet vaccinated, masks are suggested and highly encouraged. We are asking you to make the best decision for your family knowing that we will support your decision either way.
    • Mapleton is a mask-friendly environment. Please feel free to have your child wear a mask whether he/she is fully vaccinated or not. Thank you for respecting the decision of others.

Vaccinations for eligible students are strongly encouraged but not mandatory at this point.

    COVID Testing

    • To support access to the vaccine, we will continue to invite health partners to host frequent vaccination clinics in the district. Vaccination clinic information, including date, time, and registration links, will be available on Mapleton’s website, www.mapleton.us.
