Mrs. Jessi Short

Mrs. Jessi Short, M.E., is a choir and drama teacher who teaches beginning choir at Global, Trailside, Adventure and Mapleton Singers during Zero Hour choir. She also directs the Mapleton Stage Door players, the district drama program which produces the district musical, play. She has been teaching performing arts in Colorado for over a decade and has been teaching in Mapleton since 2016. Jessi received her Bachelors in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis from Colorado State University in 2008 from Colorado State University. While an undergraduate student at CSU, she was involved with the University choirs as well as a part of CSU Opera Theatre. In 2013, Jessi received her Masters in Education with an Emphasis in Curriculum Development from Colorado State University. She is certified to teach both K-12 Music and K-12 Drama in the state of Colorado.

Jessi Short has performed with a variety of vocal ensembles throughout the Denver Metro area. She is currently a member of the Boulder Timberliners and Velvet Hills Chorus in Colorado Springs. Both choruses compete regionally and internationally in the Barbershop Harmony Society and Sweet Adalines International respectively.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts and theatre performances, and spending time with her husband Wes and their cats, Butters and Luna.
