Meadow Community School
Meadow Community School was originally constructed in 1962 as a K-5 and has only received necessary and modest improvements. In February 2022, Mapleton submitted a BEST grant to help defray the total cost of rebuild. BEST grants have helped fund the construction of Valley View Innovation School, Adventure Elementary, Global Intermediate Academy, the renovation of Monterey Community, and ten years ago, the schools on the Skyview Campus. The new building design addresses many of the site safety and security issues and allows Meadow to fully embrace its nature and science model by presenting meaningful and numerous opportunities for students to interact with the outdoors, through forest-like courtyards and windows and natural light throughout the building. The new school building will also welcome the return of the preschool program. Mapleton will know more about the BEST grant in May 2022.
