• York International School

York International School was constructed in 1962 as a middle school. It is now a popular K-12 International Baccalaureate school that is in a building that no longer meets the needs of the learning model or the students.   Rebuilding the school – keeping the areas that are new – while reconstructing the old - will continue to meet the needs of our current students while drawing in students from across the metro area.An architect has put together some initial concepts that highlight the IB model, including a central library with spaces for all age groups to read, work, and collaborate an International Hall, and preschool wing, and improved site circulation. The York community came together in April and shared some great feedback as to the next steps with the plans for their new PK-12 school.
