Mrs. Emily Stover
Emily Stover, M.A., joined the Mapleton Performing Arts Department in 2022. She directs the Intermezzo zero hour choir (6th and 7th grade) and beginning choirs at Achieve, Clayton, Welby and York. Previously, she taught K-8 music at Explore Elementary from 2018-2022. She started her career in Princeton, IL teaching beginning band, middle school choir and elementary general music for eight years. She received her Bachelor’s in Music Education from Millikin University in Decatur, IL in 2009. In 2013, she took a one-year leave of absence to complete her Master’s in Arts Administration at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Outside of teaching, Emily is the Music Director at Highlands Lutheran Church in Denver. She accompanies weekly church services and directs the adult choir and the handbell ensemble. She is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Ringers, a semi-professional handbell choir based in Denver.
When she is not doing anything musical, Emily loves spending time with her husband, Brandon, and son, Coen. Together they enjoy hiking, trivia, and playing board games.
