Mapleton Public Schools Board of Education
The Mapleton Board of Education comprises five elected community volunteers who work many hours each year to represent the community and lead the District.
Elected by voters from within Mapleton, the board approves the district curriculum, instructional materials, and annual budget. The board acts in accordance with Colorado and federal laws while remaining responsive to the unique needs of the Mapleton community.
The Board of Education meets the second and fourth Wednesday of every month, unless otherwise posted.

Board of Education Members
Mr. Moe was elected to the Mapleton Board of Education in 2017 and re-elected by Acclamation in 2021. He retired after working more than thirty years in the Consulting Engineering business, where a good portion of his focus was on designing primary and secondary schools to be safe and productive learning environments for students. He has lived in the Mapleton Public Schools district since 2015.
Ms. Boyce, elected to the Mapleton Board of Education in November 2021, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Colorado. With a career focused on communications and marketing, she currently serves as a Communication Specialist for the Colorado Attorney General's Office. A Colorado native, Ms. Boyce and her husband have been active members of the Mapleton community for over a decade, where their children attend Mapleton schools.
Ms. Lechman was appointed to the Mapleton Board of Education in June 2021 and elected by Acclamation in November 2022. She works as a Sales Coordinator for Johnson Controls and is currently attending MSU Denver to complete her bachelor’s degree in Finance. Ms. Lechman has lived in the Mapleton Community for over 30 years and is a Skyview graduate. Her son attends Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts.
Ms. Ramos was elected to the Mapleton Board of Education in 2023. She received her bachelor’s degree from Regis University in political science with an emphasis in criminal justice. She is currently the Court Administrator for the City of Brighton. Ms. Ramos is a proud member of the Mapleton Community and has 1 child who attends a Mapleton School.

Ms. Frye was appointed to the Mapleton Board of Education in June 2023. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver and is a licensed clinical social worker. Currently, Ms. Frye is an Executive Director of a small not-for-profit in Thornton that supports adults with intellectual disabilities. Ms. Frye has been a proud member of the Mapleton community for over 8 years and has two children who attend Mapleton Schools.
