The Board of Education approved the following revisions to the 2026-27 academic calendar in May 2026:

• Monday, Aug. 24: Middle School Staff Development Day – No school for middle school students, grades 6-8 
  • Exception — The following students DO have school this day:
    • 6th graders at Adventure and Welby
    • All other grade levels at all Mapleton schools

• Tuesday, Sept. 22: Middle School Staff Development Day – No school for middle school students, grades 6-8
  • Exception — The following students DO have school this day:
    • 6th graders at Adventure and Welby
    • All other grade levels at all Mapleton schools

• Friday, Oct. 9: District Homecoming, all schools dismiss two hours early

• Monday, Nov. 9: Middle School Staff Development Day – No school for middle school students, grades 6-8
  • Exception — The following students DO have school this day:
    • 6th graders at Adventure and Welby
    • All other grade levels at all Mapleton schools

• Wednesday, Jan. 6: Middle School Staff Development Day – No school for middle school students, grades 6-8
  • Exception — The following students DO have school this day:
    • 6th graders at Adventure and Welby
    • All other grade levels at all Mapleton schools

• Friday, Feb. 12: Instructional Planning Day, No school for students
