Scope of Work

Monterey will reopen in August with a beautiful new gym, a remodeled cafeteria, a new grand- stairway, renovated classrooms, a new playground, a new parking lot, and safer drop-off loops for buses and parents, among many other significant and amazing improvements.

Friday, February 12, 2021 | 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.   A seven-foot hoist beam soon to be placed in Monterey Community School will be on display in Monterey's new south parking lot on Friday, Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. New and returning Monterey families are invited to stop by and sign the beam. Students will also be able to vote for the school’s new mascot. Please be sure to wear a mask or face covering, practice social distancing, and observe other health and safety measures as we mark this special moment in Monterey history!   Monterey will reopen in August. The Monterey team is looking forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new families. Seats are available in all grades K-8, but are filling up fast! Enroll today!

  • The structural framing for the addition at Monterey Community School is now enclosed!
  • The walls on the west side of the building give shape to the new gymnasium and stage.
  • With the parking lot completed, crews now turn their attention to pouring concrete for the new playground and outdoor classroom.
  • Inside the building, work continues on the classrooms, library, and elevator shaft. After weeks of structural reinforcement to the building, crews are now working on completing drywall installation and adding finishes to the upstairs cafeteria.
