District Accreditation and School Performance Framework
2023 Performance Framework
In Mapleton, we are motivated by a culture of continuous improvement. Our focus on improving outcomes for all students is driven by Project LIFT – Leveraging Instruction for Transformation. Through Project LIFT, the dreams and aspirations of our students are met with rigorous instruction, meaningful support, and expert educators.
As we enter our fourth year of this initiative, we are pleased to share a strong indicator of improved student success. This year, Mapleton received a district accreditation rating of Accredited with Improvement Plan from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). This rating is evidence of the work and dedication of our students and staff, and means we are on the right track! To learn more, visit CDE’s website.
District Performance Frameworks (DPF) are based on the achievement and growth of students on state assessments, along with postsecondary measures, including graduation rates and drop-out rates. Across the district, we are celebrating strong gains in many grade levels and in English Language Arts and Math. Let’s keep the momentum. As our strongest partners in student success, you can support your child by:
-
Attending meetings of the School Accountability and Advisory Committee (SAAC) at your child’s school to learn more about the action steps outlined in the school’s Unified Improvement Plan.
-
Building a habit of good attendance to ensure your child is in school, on time, every day.
-
Encouraging your child to enjoy a healthy lunch at school at no cost, thanks to Healthy School Meals for All.
-
Supporting literacy at home by reading together for at least ten minutes every day.
