Learning Through Internships

Learning Through Internships (LTI) is an educational strategy aimed at making learning more relevant and engaging by allowing students to intern with an organization of their choosing.

The purpose of a student’s LTI experience is to build knowledge and learn skills in the context of an authentic work environment - one that directly connects to the student’s interests and passions.

LTIs offer a framework for students to validate the learning that occurs inside the classroom, outside of school. Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning in order to prepare themselves for college, careers, and/or civic participation.
