2019 Air Force JROTC Outstanding Instructor Award

Congratulations to Chief Master Sgt. Rob Rodewald on receiving the 2019 Air Force JROTC Outstanding Instructor Award! Chief Master Sgt. Rodewald was nominated by his colleague, Lt. Col. Arrington. This year, he is one of just eight instructors from all Colorado Air Force JROTC units to receive this prestigious award.

In an official press release, Air Force JROTC Commander, Colonel Paul Lips said:

“I am pleased to announce the 2019 AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor Awards. Those recognized represent the ‘Best of the Blue’ we have in AFJROTC. Through this award, we honor their exemplary contributions and impact on their cadets, school, and community. I extend my deepest appreciation to all winners for their dedication, hard work, and investment they have put into our AFJROTC program and into our cadets. They represent the highest examples of the Air Force Core Values which are crucial to the success of the AFJROTC mission. Well done to all!”

Chief Master Sgt. Robert Rodewald

Chief Master Sgt. Rodewald was nominated for his dedication to Mapleton’s program, for his leadership and for his ability to develop meaningful lesson plans that truly impact Mapleton’s 92 cadets. This year, Chief Master Sgt. Rodewald mentored two cadets applying for West Point admission, planned unique and engaging trips and experiences, was a key leader during our cadet participation in Denver’s Veterans Day Parade, and assisted with the planning of Mapleton’s 9/11 ceremony, among many other contributions.
