The Mapleton Education Foundation awarded scholarships to 40 deserving graduates this year to help them achieve their post-secondary dreams.
The total amount given to students tops $260,000 – a new record!
MEF scholarships help students pay for books, housing, and tuition for college, as well as defray some of the cost to attend a trade school or participate in apprenticeships.
This year, the Foundation introduced two new scholarships, The Ratkovich Memorial Scholarship, to honor the legacy of Ron Ratkovich, an inspirational science teacher and golf coach in the district for many years, and The Rufien Family Teachers’ Scholarship for a student pursuing a career in education.
Mapleton seniors have exclusive access to scholarships through the Mapleton Education Foundation. For more information, visit the Foundation's website.
