Mapleton’s Air Force JROTC program will pivot to a virtual process to start the upcoming school year. Program instructors will interact with the returning cadets virtually, four times a week, including three days of Air Force curriculum and one leadership day. The ROTC program will begin Wednesday, Sept. 2. Cadets will complete online assignments throughout the school day and at home. On the leadership day, instructors plan to interact with cadet leaders virtually and guide them through activities which involve all cadets. New cadets will have until Thursday, Sept. 17, to sign up for the program. This year, new cadets will be in the program by name only and fully participate starting second semester. Additional information will be made available to students when school begins on Thursday, Aug. 27.
