Middle School Teams
Due to the size of our middle school student body, some sports require more that one team. Football and Track and Field will come together as one district team. However, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, and Girls Soccer split into two teams call Global Black and York Silver. Four schools practice and compete at York International will the other four school practice and compete at the Global Campus.
In addition to the schools split, teams will also be separated into two "skills" based teams. The "A" team will be made up of those players that have skills in the sport, while the "B" team is the developing team, meant for those who are still building their skill in the sport. Below is the list for the school separation:
Global Black (name will be changing soon):
- Global Intermediate Academy (Host)
- Monterey Community School
- Performing Arts School on Broadway
- Trailside Academy
York Silver (name will be changing soon):
- York International School (Host)
- Achieve Academy
- Clayton Partnership School
- Explore PK-8
- Meadow Community School
Practice
Middle School school teams practice everyday, Monday-Friday after school. Practices normally go from 4:00-5:45 p.m. Football and Track both come to the Skyview Campus, while Volleyball, Basketball, and Soccer are at Global or York (depending on your students school).
