The inspiration for the Mapleton logo came from a photo of a child reading a book. The photo was taken during the reinvention strategic planning process and came to reflect the District’s commitment to providing all Mapleton children with small, safe, family-like environments to foster academic success and personal growth.

Our Colors

Primary Colors: “Mapleton Purple” will continue to serve as our brand’s primary color. Paired with black, these two colors will serve for most of your design material needs.

Secondary Colors: Silver and white serve as our supporting brand colors, adding balance, contrast, and flexibility to our primary palette. They help highlight key content, create clean backgrounds, and maintain a polished, professional look across all materials.

The Importance of Logo Usage

Our logo is a key part of the Mapleton identity — a symbol of connection, belonging, and pride in our schools. It represents who we are as a district and the shared values that unite our community.

Much time and care have gone into designing a logo that reflects the heart of Mapleton. To preserve its integrity, we ask that all staff, partners, and community members use the logo correctly and consistently. Please avoid altering, stretching, recoloring, or adding personal design elements that change its appearance.

By following these guidelines, you help ensure that every communication — from flyers to social media posts — strengthens the Mapleton brand and tells our story with clarity and pride.

Logo Do’s

  • Use official logo files provided by the Communications Department.

  • Maintain clear space around the logo — keep it free from text, graphics, or other elements.

  • Use approved colors and versions only (full-color, black, or white).

  • Resize proportionally to keep the logo’s shape and design consistent.

  • Use high-resolution files (PNG, PDF, or EPS) for print and digital materials.

  • Place on clean, uncluttered backgrounds for best visibility and readability.

Logo Don’ts

  • Don’t stretch, squish, or crop the logo.

  • Don’t change colors or apply filters, shadows, or effects.

  • Don’t place the logo on busy or low-contrast backgrounds.

  • Don’t add text or graphics directly to or inside the logo.

  • Don’t recreate or redraw the logo in any program.

  • Don’t use outdated or unapproved versions (including screenshots or old logos).
