Mrs. Jessi Short

Mrs. Jessi Short, M.E., is a choir and drama teacher who teaches beginning choir at Welby, Clayton, and Achieve and Mapleton Singers high school choir during Zero Hour. She also directs the Mapleton Stage Door players, the district drama program which produces the district musical, play. She has been teaching performing arts in Colorado for over a decade and has been teaching in Mapleton since 2016. Jessi received her Bachelors in Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis in 2008 from Colorado State University. While an undergraduate student at CSU, she was involved with the University choirs as well as a part of CSU Opera Theatre. In 2013, Jessi received her Masters in Education with an Emphasis in Curriculum Development from Colorado State University. She is certified to teach both K-12 Music and K-12 Drama in the state of Colorado.

Jessi Short has performed with a variety of vocal ensembles throughout the Denver Metro area including Skyline chorus, Colorado Chorale, The Timberliners and Velvet Hills Chorus. 

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts and theatre performances, crafting, and spending time with her husband Wes and their cats, Butters and Luna.
